are technical.

Out of 49. AIREI is 37 technical staff and four in sales and marketing. We retrofit AI onto mills that are already running, for owners who will ask you to prove things.

Open roles

Six roles open,
each with its requirement floor.

Three offices, four departments, forty-nine people — and the mills themselves. Most of the thinking happens at a desk like this, then gets tested on plant.

The work

Nothing here is
a greenfield build.

AIREI’s work is retrofit: sensors, vision and actuators added to plant that is decades old and already running. That constraint shapes every job here.

Most days

A sensor that reads wrong in the rain, a network that drops at 3am, and a mill manager who does not trust the number yet.

You cannot turn the mill off

On the Minsawi retrofit the team installed while the mill kept running, bar a seven-hour window on Sundays, so production was not held up. That is the founder’s own account, given to The Edge Malaysia.

Commissioning windows are short and immovable. A mistake costs somebody else’s production, and there is no next deploy to fix it in.

Where the work happens

Cyberjaya headquarters and AIREI India in Coimbatore — plus the mills, Kuala Kangsar in Perak among them.

Who you would be joining

A small company doing work the national press covers. That cuts both ways: you can own a lot, and there is nobody else to hand a problem to.

For those guys who are no longer working, we are telling them to do other things, like taking up training to learn welding skills.

The roles going are the repetitive ones — the operator who opens and closes a door to move fruit onto a conveyor. The roles arriving are the engineers who keep the system running. You would be on the second side of that trade.

Welding, maintenance, a tablet instead of a lever. Retraining is the founder’s stated answer.
